    Hi there,

I'm in the process of buying the parts for a new PC, this will be my first build!
I'll mainly use it as a htpc/gaming rig but I would also like to use it for work. I was thinking of partitioning the hd (2 sata drives raid 0) into 2.
I would like to have win2000 (work environment) on one partition and xp on the other. However I don't think that win2000 will have all the drivers I need.
Is it possible to have a xp on both partitions and be able to boot the machine into either? How does this affect the product key registration?

You can set it up so every time you start your pc it asks you if you want to boot into Win2000 or XP.

    It doesn't affect the registration.

If I have xp on 1 partition and 2000 on the other, and for example i boot into 2000. Will everything in the xp partition be hidden from 2000? If not is there a way to accomplish this?

If I use xp for my work environment and for my gaming environment, what would be the best way to seperate them? Ideally I would like to be able to boot into 1 environment without the other being visible, so if someone is playing games on my machine that they don't accidentally mess my work setup or delete an important folder. Creating seperate user accounts is not really a good option!
