Kilcoole, Wicklow natives Langdon Beck finally release their long-awaited debut EP next month with a blow-out party in The Voodoo Lounge. Having released themselves from the shackles of full-time education the four-piece are ready to unleash their seven tracks of passionate, energetic and melody-infused hardcore punk on the masses. Previously known as No Compliance, the band made a name for themselves as regulars on the Dublin DIY Punk scene long before most of them were legally allowed into the pubs they found themselves playing week after week. In more recent times they've played all over Ireland and are in the middle of their first UK tour, together with fellow Kilcoole residents Kid Blunt.

Support on the night comes from New Jersey's Thieving Liars, who are will be touring Ireland with Langdon Beck for two weeks in late-August. Tired of the same sounds circulating every scene and frustrated with the trendy pop-punk songs about girls, beers and teen-age hijynx, Thieving Liars have created a hard edged in your face music with strong socio-political lyrics.Bringing with them all the different elements from their past bands (Double Penetration, The Hampers, Ensign, The Pedophiles, The Whitehouse Effect, and Clampdown ), Thieving Liars have decided to simply make the best hardcore music that goes beyond being labeled a simple punk or hardcore band.

Completing the bill will be The Boy You Hit Is Dead, a Galway based metallic hardcore outfit who will also be making their Dublin debut. They feature members of Fuktifino and Easpa Measa and play a hard-edged brand of hardcore with the odd eclectic melody thrown into the mix.
