    Hello all,

A friend of mine is interested in purchasing a property in France. Has anyone any advice for her ? Is there an agency here who specialises in property in France ? Or would she be better bypassing an agency ?

    Thanks,

The usual advice when buying abroad is to find competent, English-speaking local advice. Use this first. Then see what the Irish agents are saying. Then choose.

The Irish agents and their clients seem to have an inflated sense of value.

MAke sure you get the full breakdown of costs, both inital and on-going - council taxes, property taxes, etc.
