i thought 2nd year was same as first really, i got very bored after christmas because of operating systems and maths. The project isdead easy to pass but its how far you want to go with it, you can do the bare bones and get a 60 or really go all out with it. It does take a hell of a long time to do though. They dont really give you the time to do any coding until after christmas because of all these plans you have to write up...All the reports is what you get the marks for. There was a group in last year that did nothing and copied code completely from the internet, couldn't explain any of it and ross still gave them a pass I think but they failed other subjects anyways.

    I cant wait though.

Hey steven, assignments and assessments? ah bollix. Who gives the most?

I'm looking forward to getting back cause i'm bored out of my skull here, and all my friends here are uneducated git's withg no money. At least in college your friends have either one or the other :D.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again, and i'm looking forward to this year cause we get to spend more time doing drawings on the computers. And also if i pass the repeats, i won't have to do maths this year :D:D (i think). Also theres that feild trip away i've heard about. We have to go off to some city with architectural importance (rome, prauge or somewhere), so thats something to look forward to.

See you all soon, i hope.

Well its possible you might have different lecturers, but last year austin kinsella gave a good few - easy report type stuff, but its time consuming and has to be well researched. Keith Smyth gave 2 or 3 on different technologies, eddie hickey gave a whole bunch for java :( Anita kelly gave 1 or 2 for management - Rea Jordan gave a couple of lab assignments for digital comms.

Not to mention the constant in Class continual assessment that they test us with during the year! :(
