I've had a hotmail account for a long time now, since before they were owned by microsoft, before yahoo, ireland.com & others were giving free e-mail. Handy to have the same address, 2MB limit is a pain.

Recently they're advertising hotmail plus for E20 a year, which gives 2GB, plus some other benefits, but I've also heard they are going to increas the limit on the free accounts.

    Anyone tried hotmail plus yet?
Any idea when the 2MB limit will be increased? (should I wait?).

(I'm well aware of other e-mail providers and their relative merits, so no coments that I should get xyz.com instead please.....).

250MB in 1-2 months you may as well wait for that upgrade and save your money, also by then I'm sure Gmail will be out of beta and you can use that if 250MB is not enough.

there was a thread here recently which quoted the license agreement for using hotmail, which id never actually read, but aparantly anything you send over hotmail becomes the property of ms to do with as they please, so i will never be using it again eeeek

I stopped using Hotmail when I realised they were selling my email to ad companies and then failing to provide any sort of spam protection. :p

My second choice is Yahoo. The ads on the site can be annoying, but they've first-class spam filtering on their mail server.

    i have 2 a/c - 1 hotmail, and 1 yahoo.

the 2MB thing is a bitch with hotmail, and i use my Yahoo one more, for sending/recieving large attachments.

i use my hotmail one for access to MSN Messenger, cos its coool
