If I was to pick up a cheap Apple Studio 20" monitor how would I connect it to a PC? They use ADC connectors, and apparently you can get DVI adaptors all over the place. What I cam't figure out is "what is DVI" and is it that I'm looking for? I have a "nVidia GeForce MX 440SE with AGP8X". Recommendations of an alternative graphics card that would work as-is with such a monitor also accepted.

DVI is just like VGA, but more advanced. Most new graphics cards have DVI outputs.

Your current card might have have a DVI output. It looks like the inverse of this:dvi.jpg

If your card doesn't have one of these, you could by a card for about £20 thats has one.

Without seeing a picture it's hard to be 100% sure, but sounds like all you might need is one of these.

edit: BTW, how cheap is 'cheap' and can you get more than one?

You may need Dr. Bott ADC VGA Extractor which is at the bottom of the page.. I love these monitors.. Anyone know what they are like for games?

around 500 euro - I don't think there'll be any more than one, but I'll ask anyway.
