every time you open a window
Could you be more specific.. what type of window? E.g Internet explorer; Windows explorer etc...
is an underscore that flys around, when you close it tou have to 'end now'.
In essence you mean an effect like if someone were to continually hold down a key?

First deduction would be; it's a program that's running via DOS box that's not finished doing whatever it's programmed to do when your trying to close it. The effects you described pretty much match this.

Well from what you told me; first thing i would do is check to see whats in my Startup folder in the programs menu; just to verify that nothing is loading my default which could cause this.

Next i would check out the environment variables in System, under Control Panel.

excuse my ignorance but it's just an active window not internet related(visably anyway) but it's black inside.I just saw the underscore sometime bleeps instead of moving around, you cannot write in the window and it's address is C:\DOCUMENT~\sinead\LOCALS~1\TEMP\SURFAI~1.EXE It doesn't matter how long you leave it won't close without 'end now'.

    SURFAI~1.EXE

    Its Spyware

In short, its something you should remove right away. If you're going to be using broadband, you should have a look at threads around here about securing your PC online. There's some scary stuff on the interweb and a fair chunk of it will find its way onto your PC unless you protect it. :)

You've been hit by Surfairy. First of all, look in your Add/Remove Programs for it and uninstall it. If you don't find it, open the search function and look for a folder named Surfairy. There may be an uninstaller in here.

Next, download and install these. Update them regularily and scan your system at least once a week.

    Ad-Aware
    SpyBot S&D

Can you have a look in add/remove and see if you have a programme called Surfairy, if you do remove it. If not do a search for surfai and you should find a folder which contains an uninstall file, run that.

Seems to be a spyware problem. Solution would seem to be to download lavasoft ad-aware http://www.lavasoft.de/ . Get rid of the undesirables and then fort up your system; with firewall and anti-virus software.

Ad-aware is a program that removes adware like Surfairy. If possilbe use both ad-aware and Spybot S&D as one can sometime miss suff the other ones pick up.

    No, that would be ZoneAlarm

I assume you are also using Internet Explorer. You should get rid of that as it is the biggest security risk on your computer.
