Hi folks, I have a question Im hoping you can help me with. I'm making my first trip to Dublin from the US this fall. My flight comes in at 9 am, but the check-in time at my accomodations isn't until 2pm. Im travelling fairly light, but i still dont want to haul my luggage around for 5 hours. Are there any sort of pay lockers or the like at the airport that i might be able to put my bags in while i do some sight seeing? Thanks :)

Have you tried your hotel? Many will allow you to leave luggage with them before official check in time, and will more than likely allow you check in early if the room has been vacated and has been cleaned.

I know this is gonna sound like a moronic question, but , here goes anyway.. Is that what you call left luggage service? I've seen that phrase on different hotel websites, but I wasnt sure what it meant and its not a phrase ive heard here before.

You don't want to go into the city and then have to return to the airport to pick up luggage, that would take far too long.

There is a left luggage service at the central bus station, but the best thing would be to enquire at your hotel - I can't imagine them having a problem with leaving luggage.

    Thats exactly it.

People tend to utilise the service after they've checked out (check out is usually before noon, so if you're flying at night you have quite a lot of time to kill before a trip to the airport).

Like I said, contact your hotel and clarify it, they should be willing to assist you.

    Oh, and enjoy your stay.

Don't rely on the left luggage in the bus station either. When I was there last week on the monday morning around 9-10am it was closed. Whether or not it's ever opened I don't know.
