Get rid of what? Red complexion?

Have you been to a doctor/dermatologist?

    Is it rosecea? Acne?

If so, you should pop along to the doctor for a chat. I'm sure she/he would either refer you to a dermatologist or give you a prescription.

If you're a girl then try using make-up with a green tint to it.

Well not a green tint, but made of a greenish base.

If you're a guy, then, well if you like makeup... :)

Is this a problem with blushing? If so: the green makeup does work, the problem is it looks a bit odd when your face calms down...this may sound hard but the best thing is to forget it and it normally goes away of its own accord, when you do blush people tend to think that it is nice in any case.

Depending on how bad your red complexion is, there is a product made by Ruby & Millie, (they usually have a stand in any big make-up department like boots or BT) im sorry i dont remember the exact name of it but if you explain what its for they should be able to help. the product evens out the skin tone for people that suffer from patchy red complexions. Its not a foundation or concelor, so it would suit both men and women.
    Hope this helps

Is there anything you can do to get rid of it, not just cover it up. Preferably without going to doctor/dermatolagist.

I always look like the second or third stage of this smiley >>> :o

Well, we have no idea what it is, or what the cause is, so how could we advise how to get rid of it? The doctor would be able to help.

Lads, obviously none of you know what he's talking about, because if you suffered from it yourselves you'd know exactly.

I suffer from this also all my life. I'm now 27 and still do. I have spend a fortune on dermatolagists, even was in the Blackrock clinic for it. It's more flushing than blushing. You just blush up for no reason at all and it's last for hours. It is a serious social handicap. I was always very outgoing and I didnt want it to destro my life, but there was times where it was very disheartening!

To that original poster, I've tried all types of creams and tablets, but in all my years with it, the only restbite is the sun. Now, I'm not telling you to over expose yourself in the hot irish sun! but this has ALWAYS stopped mine. Forget about any type of makeup (if your a guy), you main terror would be those UV lights that are installed in alot of pubs/clubs!

It is very hard to stop thinking about it when you do suffer from it and it doesn't matter what anyone says, but do try to lift up the confidence abit like player team sports, etc and over time it will get to an exceptable level where you won't give a shlt about it.

Hope that helps a little bit for you
