Thanks for that information but it still does not seem to work:

I got the following information from Meteor:

Thank you for your email. Below is steps on how to set up email account.

    set MyMeteor Mail up in my Outlook email like follows;

Select Services in the Tools menu.
Select Add & then click on Internet Mail.
In the General folder fill in your personal details.
In the Servers folder fill in the outgoing & incoming fields with
    'mail.mymeteor.ie'.
Still in the Servers folder fill in the account name & password fields with
    your mail login details.
Note that the name should not include "@meteor.ie" e.g. if the email address
    is darren@mymeteor.ie just enter darren.
In the Connection folder select LAN or modem depending on how you're
    accessing the mail.

Save your settings once finished then logout of Outlook. When you login
again you will be able to receive emails from that account.

I'd recommend you use the Rules Wizard in the Tools menu to move any new
incoming mail destined for the address in question to it's own unique folder
so as not to get it mixed up with any regular email accounts already
    configured.

But I can't seem to get the thing working

could be a server prob...recheck all the fields ou filled in anyway to be sure!
also notice on that site that it says you should only do one thing at a time so give them all a whack! (of course one at a time!)

If that doesn't work scream at Meteor never fails (and I know its an email problem but they'll prob blame coverage again!)
