Twin Peaks, calling all Peakies!

Has anyone any idea if the second series of Twin Peaks is ever going to be made available on DVD? I certainly hope so, cos the recordings I made at the time are becoming more and more fuzzy.

I know the series wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but I just loved the off the wall style, especially the episodes directed by or starring David Lynch! Even if it didn't make complete sense, I still loved it and it was always beautifully shot, with gorgeous colours, and has there ever been a more scary villain than Bad Bob?! Especially when he appeared in mirrors as characters looked at what should have been their own reflections.

One way I found it kind of made more sense was to think of the series and occurrences in it as a metaphor for child abuse, that kids hurt or abused can often grow up to be abusers themselves and that's what Leland Palmer represented. The fact that the bad person was always portrayed as evil Bob I figured was because people always find it easier to think of a person who would do such a thing as being a dirty, scraggy haired guy rather than a clean cut lawyer who was a pillar of good society in public. I have other ideas, but what do other people think or what are their fondest memories/favourite characters of either series?

Here's some info, though there's nothing definite:

If you really can't wait, there's a Spanish DVD release containing every episode but the quality is meant to be terrible and they have no extra features. I'd hold off until the proper release.

The quality of the spanish set is good, people say it is terrible, but it isn't. I have the set, works perfectly!

The general opinion amongst twin peaks nuts was that the 2nd series would be out in september this year. Whether this is actually going to happen is anyones guess.

I always found the concept that Bob (and the giant, the red room etc) were actually REAL was the thing that totally scared the sh1te outta me.

I loved the relationships between harry and albert (and harry and coop of course). Leland was always one of my favourites, so was pete and the horn brothers. The women though - phffoooaar. Laura, donna, audrey, shelly, norma, josie. Jaykers they were mighty fine.

The series did go a bit daft after lynch stopped his involvement (from lelands funeral onwards). My favouite episodes were from the start of series 2 till that episode where you find out who really killed laura. Amazing stuff altogether.

Hope the 2nd series is out soon with plenty of extras and all. Have the lot on video, but its poor enough quality aswell.
