Read this article from the Guardian yesterday and it struck a cord. http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1280442,00.html

If the US are getting ready to storm one of the Holiest Muslim sites in the world it would be preferable for them if most of the Muslim world didn't see them do it.

Its nice to see the US backed adminsitration deliver the freedoms that Bush and Blair harp on about all the time.

As opposed to the freedom they enjoyed under the rule of Saddam Hussein.

Well Bush and Blair are using these "freedoms" as the excuse for going to war now that the WMD one has disappeared into the sand.

Well they have followed Saddam's lead and reinstituted the death penalty. Heres another article from yesterdays Guardian that sums it all up quite well. http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1280443,00.html

doesnt make a difference anyway because im sure quiet a few of fighters in Najaf are going to be making "jihad" videos to broadcast on the internet ,which in turn will be shown by Al-Jazzera

Al Jazeera should never have been allowed in there in the first place. It is an anti western, anti american, anti freedom supporter of terrorism and of the Islamic/Arab dictatorship elite in the middle east.

Definitely. They also eat babies and perform satanic rituals on screen. How much exposure have you actually had to Al-Jazeera?

hehe :D he must be taking the piss. This is the same network that Sadam closed down before the war. They are well known for their criticisms of Arab dictators and cronies. Arafat in Palestine, Mubarak in Egypt, Assad in Syria have all been the focus of Aljeezera. The Algerian government has also recently banned them for showing up discrepancies in their system of government. I reckon the defeat of the Bush doctrine at Fallujah and Aljeezera combined could be one of the pivotal moving points for democracy in the middle east.
on another note: I just installed a digital satellite receiver and have both Aljezz and Al Arabia..great footage but haven't a clue what they're saying.

Who AJ? They were banned in Iraq during Saddams time.

If your that upset, why aren't you giving out about the fact that the US are employing Saddams cronies to help run the government?
