    I have played many a strategy game...

    but I still find myself coming back to this be it single player skirmish or LAN play...

    For those that have gotten into it (you really need to play 1v1s with expierenced players) you can understand why I rate this over the total war series, over starcraft, over TA or westwoods offerings... its extremely tactical and so much fun...

    For those who havent, It's tough to pitch a game thats old and not as mainstream,

    It has generic costuction buildings and resource collecting, but thats as far as the generics are concernd... the resource collecting is determined by how many sectors you hold on the map, points for territory...

    the unit types are varied but any unit can attack another unit.... none of this anti-air only stuff..

    there are a few special weapons like air strikes, but they dont cripple bases...

    you win by retaking territory while knocking out enemy facilities before taking on the enemy's main base...

    Usually with good players, games are not decided by the large army battles but smaller probing attacks/manuvers, games are quick, you have to watch your territories and yet fight the enemy, sitting back on defense wont get you a win, games are always vicious and devious...

    I'm going to try convert a few friends soon when i found my CD's today but hopefuly i can reach a few people here too, single player can be a bit boring considering the other games out their but once you start playing against other people you'll get addicted...

    the cpu is nasty good at the game (and doesnt cheat as in RA games)

    I used to love it on.....was it the megadrive?

    Still remember it to this day, althought sadly its been a good 7 or 8 years since I played it.

    I bought it when it came out... give me a shout online about it.. I still have the CD's
