This show friggin' rocks. And no, I don't "get all of my news from a show on Comedy Central" as many critics patronizingly suggest. I think the show just points out some of the truly ridiculous ish, that our politicians try to force down our collective throats everyday.

It's refreshing to see someone questioning the "facts," all the while providing it in a light and hilarious fashion. Jon Stewart is awesome. Here are some links to some of his election vignettes on "Indecision 2004." They're on the right, check them out and let me know what you think. http://195.172.204.132/imredirect.cfm?Ref=Indecision&VID=2278&CID=1&TID=1122&UID=20

i caught the show when i was in the states last year through work, pure genius and proves that the americans can do subtle humour. Hope it finds its way across the atlantic.

Are you getting commision for pimping this show or something? I'm sure it's funny and all, there's just no need to mention it in every single post you make to boards.

    That and cellphones.

This show is hilarious, and I've long wondered why it hasn't been picked up by
a satellite broadcaster in the UK yet... Would be perfect (and relatively cheap)
fodder for Sky One to try to save their channel from the depths of depravity and
    Uncovered trash.

Hmm! So it is. (Can't believe I missed that.)
Still, Digiguide reckons there's two per weekend at 12.30am.
I'm assuming it's either two random shows, or a best of the week version.

Pity it's on so late, but good to see it on UK/Irish TV. (Incidentally, glad to see *some*
news channels sticking with the idea of something else during the 'downtime' of the second half of each hour, rather than a straight repeat. Sky News made a big mistake in opting to do non-stop news, especially with the advent of the always running headlines screen under Sky News Active. BBC News 24 has some fine material shown in this half hour, like the excellent Talking Movies.)

Plus, he's just won an two Emmys, one for best Variety Show while up against Leno, O'Brien and Letterman.

Only a matter of time until his profile increases here.

Are you mad? With Rupert Murdoch owning Sky and all. Not Likely.

He doesn't own BSkyB - News International's stake is somewhere under the 40% mark. And I doubt he would intervene to stop a show like this airing. (Not that it'll happen now CNN have awoken to the wonders of Mr Stewart.)
