Drunken Bastid Forum Request.

    Allright, we've all felt it.

The drunken compunction to stumble home into our bedroom/ comp room and bare our hearts to the boardsie community, fullsure that our words, so full of meaning and gravitas, will blow away all which come before.

Of course, we all (most of us) wake up the following morning/afternoon and realise the grave error that was the night before and are forced to admit our inebriated state to a most unsymphatetic (sp?) audience.

With this in mind (and in this state, little else I fear) I hearby request, nay demand a drunken bastid forum.

I don't believe it would require a full time mod given the time sensitive nature of the topic.

(damn, i'm sober ing up, better finish this while i'm still intelligent)

    also
if you were really that drunk, there would be much more spelling mistakes and I should be hardly able to understand the above

that you are a big wuss girlie drinker who had two cans of bulmers.

more like two cans of Becks :D

Isn't posting rashly and regretting what you said later what PI is for?

Becks Non-Alcoholic actually has alcohol in it...

Although with it being down around 0.5%, t'would take a wee while to get pished on it :)

not if you drink it through a straw. that makes you take in the alcohol faster so the % is in effect multiplied.
i know this is true cause i got locked out of my tree once on 1 can of bulmers drinking it through a straw. being 14 and on a madly swaying boat at the time did not in any way have any contribution to me getting drunk on 1 can.

    [neo] Whoa [/neo]

I just clicked on my profile 'cos I was bored and found this thread.
I have absolutly no recollection of writing the above.
I recently sucessfully tracked down (stalked down more like) an (exceeding hot) former work mate while wasted around the same time I posted this - while TOTALLY mongoosed.
I have to stop going online when I'm drunk...

One can tell by your spelling and use of words that you are a big wuss girlie drinker who had two cans of bulmers.

No proper drunk person would use "compunction" in the written form.

Nah, i'm one of those obsessive compulsive drunks who's command and execution of the english language vastly improves when he's had a few (but only in writing).
However, I can estimate from previous experience that my original post took somewhere between two and three hours to type...

a drunken langer forum is a great idea. Manys the time ive decided its a great idea (now that my writers block is loosened) to write to ex-girlfriends and other people, and make an absolute fool of myself. If we had a dedicated place to put our rambling diatribes, we could exhaust ourselves spewing our perveted logic against each other, rather than against those who actually care!

    Me votes pro!

This forum seems like a good idea. However, I suspect you'll have a bunch of piss-heads posting there making some sense... and a bunch of Nazi anti-alcohol brigade giving neg rep the whole time.

    Sure why not?

It's cars and light trucks.. hey, I didn't come up with the figure!! It is the internet.. so I guess it's kind of a poetic license.. ;) does it really sound that far out?

You mean PI isn't it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,560 ✭✭✭Boro

nah they give you neg rep in PI when you post drunk :D

There were only 2.5 b people in 1950. Given that affordability of vehicles has dramatically changed since then this does make sense.

Again the source: internet. So must be true ;)

OK, so what are the chances of a drunken balloon actually finding the right forum, realising he's sloshed and that what he's writing will not benefit humanity greatly but effectively belongs in the recycle bin, and not waking up two hours later with a bruise from wher his head twatted the monitor and a malfunctioning keyboard from the ensuing drool?

And I thought I was a nerd. I feel safe now in the knowledge that there are bigger nerds out there then me.

    Curfewed piss-head night!

I could really use a drunken forum right now. I have not had enough to drink yet - and oh joy- can now drink and smoke and type. A drunken forum is really what's needed here!

Don't knock the bulmer's, goes straight to my head and makes me wanna dance baby.

That's because you post in the LGB forum :p
actually the sums that up prety well.
and no one liked the new emoticons !

I only noticed the new ones once. I normally use the Quick Reply box and have the common emoticon codes memorized. I see the old ones are back anyway. It would be nice to have the sad emoticon back.
    also
if you were really that drunk, there would be much more spelling mistakes and I should be hardly able to understand the above

Btw, predictive text is the best thing ever when you're drunk. I can type a near perfect message when drunk using predictive text, whereas my texts are completely unintelligible when using normal text. But maybe that's a good thing.

How about a large button that appears on the home page beetween the hours of 2am and 6am - "For drunken ramblings click here -->"
