I recently moved to England leaving my computer behind in Ireland, I'm going back to Ireland in a couple of weeks and I was going to pack up my PC and get it shipped over to England, anyone know where I could get cardboard boxes and some stuff to protect the monitor and tower?

Also the name of a good shipping company or any other advice on shipping stuff is appreciated.

You should be able to get some big boxes at a supermarket. Big huge roll of bubble wrap from Easons or the like. Lots of brown parcel tape to hold the boxes together just in case. Citylink (or is that Interlink?) to ship it over.

Depending on what heatsink you have in the pc, it might be a good idea to remove it before shipping.

If the pc got a bang the weight of the heatsink could pull the processor off the board.

I'm shipping a PC from England to Ireland. I am giving serious consideration to taking the base unit as part of my baggage and buying a monitor in ireland.

I would take the base unit if it was small enough o be hand lugage but its not and I dont fancy a thousand quids worth of computer bouncing around the hold of a Ryanair jet.

The monitor is a 21" witha Trinitron tube so even if shipping it cost £100 it'd still be a fraction of the the cost of a new one.
