Aqua Theme

Bit of a long shot here.
I was messing around with my themes and managed to loose the standard Aqua theme. I'm now stuck with a completly different black theme and can't switch back.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Aqua theme?

Using an emac, v.10.2.8.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I assume you changed the settings in the system preferences?

If you did all you have to do is go system preferences > appearance and change appearance back to Blue and Highlight back to blue...

This should get back the Aqua theme AFAIK

I used Shapeshifter to change it, so basically everything from the finder to Safari's been changed. To black.
What I'm really looking for are the files for the Aqua theme, I sent Apple an e-mail and haven't gotten an answer yet

I had this happen me a while back,



All my toolbar Icons turned to white after a theme change, took me ages to figure out what the hell to do.

Do you have a aqua theme backup file, if youve tried that then its the shapeshifter still using some of the old theme files that you tried to install.

Apply the aqua backup, if its the aqua file that looks screwy then follow the steps below.

1. download themepark

The original aqua file is actually intact, shapeshifter is just pulling the wrong files for use...

Re-edit the aqua - do not work with the original aqua, a copy is sufficiant
"edit current theme" and save under a diff name.

Edit the new theme so all the buttons / bars do what you want (can take a while to figure this bit out) and apply it (can use the theme in shapeshifter).

Essentially you end up using a third party aqua !

Sorry for being so vauge, its kinda hard to explain how to do it -- without actually doing it.

If you were using 10.3 i could probably do you a copy of the aqua theme to be applied in shapeshifter as I'm sure i have one here.
