Was just wondering what the olympia is like as a venue. Is there standing in it, wasn't to sure by looking at the map on ticketmaster website. Do you think the tickets will sell out really quick?

Yes they will, that is why you don't post about it until you have your tickets.

I like the Olympia, I've never been upstairs for a standing gig, I'd say it would be ****.
Really looking forward to this. PLAY SOME OLD STUFF FFS!

Cricle seating has about an inch of leg room. Upper cirlce is grand, but you're so far away it doesn't matter. Standing is quite good. Other venues are better though. They shouldn't have a "pit" in the Olympia, but they do. It holds about 3 rows. ****s up the the whole thing. Worst bouncers out of any venue I've ever been to.

Thank God I went up early to get them. Went there and the shop wasnt going to be open to 9.30. I needed 6 standing tickets so I went to the cybercafe to buy them online. Blooody ticketmaster charged me 3.30 for each ticket on top of the normal price. F##kin rip of. Just glad now I didnt wait on the shop.

Imo Olympia is the best venue in ireland for a any decent band, its small size and good sound system makes it one of the best in ireland.

I quite like it myself, but like Ro: maaan! said, the bouncers are a bit ****. Don't think there should be a pit either.

But it's a lovely place. Smaller venues are better.

i think vicar st much better than olympia, one good point about the olympia, you'll get a great view of he stage no matter where you stand, unless your really realy small.

Any rumours on who will be supporting them?

I like the Olympia, don't like the bouncers either though. My experience was at the end of the Blur gig last November when i asked the bouncer for the setlist he nodded at me went and grabbed it and stuck it in his own pocket with a smile!!
