    Hi guys,
I'm wondering what board I should buy to futureproof myself?
I'm not buying an Abit, I have one presently which is giving me loads of overheating issues, my chip may just bring out the worst in Abit's, I can't be sure-
    (http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread.php?threadid=11496&highlight=%2Abe7%2A)

Basically I'd like to keep the chip at least for as long as possible.
Also, I'll be buying a gig of new ram so that's a factor also.

    Thanks again.
    Pat.

Edit: Ihad a look on komplett http://www.komplett.ie/k/kl.asp?bn=10118
I see a couple of Asus boards there... would anyone reccomend these?

the IC7-MAX3 is the top of the range pentium board now. But its Abit. Also, it seems that PCI-Express is going to be the 'future' which is socket 755 (for pentium) and 939 (For AMD64).

I see alot of people using the Asus PC800-E Deluxe...haven't read alot about them though.

If you get either of the above you could get a 800mhz FSB P4C or P4E and stick it in too.
