    When talking to some fellow fans of SG-1, I was asked whether SGA is a spin-off.

    I said:
    I don't see Stargate Atlantis so much as a spin-off as I see it an extension of US foreign policy.

    I Disagree.

    I See SGA as a spin off.
    The defination of a spin off is a show based on another show or movie.
    SGA is a spin off off SG1
    TNG is a spin off off TOS

    I'm going to let this thread continue on the basis that both the attempts at humour and absolute seriousness have miserably failed. Or in some kind of super-reflexive way, succeeded.
