Resize a mpeg?

    What freeware app can I use to resize a mpeg file. IE I want to lower its resolution to make its playback faster.

    TMPGEnc IS PROBABLY THE BEST.

    It won't let me resize it lower than the default settings. The option is greyed out.

    Tmg is the one for you - make sure you are not using the wizard -

    then

    1. file new
    2. settings
    3. fill in the size and away you go...

    Are you sure its mpeg 1 or 2 encoded??

    Like I said earlier the settings are grayed out I can't alter them.

    you need to change the model loaded. I think it defaults to video cd pal. Go to the load button (I think thats whats its called) and open the extras folder within the home folder. Load the one called free or no profile. This will remove any restrictions and allow you to change resolutions.

    That did it. Thanks. Theres a folder called extras and file called unlocked. I've loaded that and I can now change the settings. Excellent. Thanks for you help.
