As the final hours of BB5 dwindle into minutes, and as the minutes will become seconds, I have a message to all boards.ie member, mods and the Admins:

KEEP THIS FOURM ALIVE FOR NEXT YEAR!

    LONG LIVE BIG BROTHER!

A while after BB finishes, this section will be closed and the threads merged with Television. Next year, it will probably be reopened again, due to it's relative success. :)

Or re-name it Reality TV, keep all the folks in Television happy that reality shows aren't being discussed there ;)

    what byte said.

Reality TV generally isnt a huge topic, only in cases such as this show... and they've got that event covered.

You better keep your word! ;)

byte, I'd like to know could I become a mod for next year's BB fourm if there is one?(It's a longshot, but is it possible?)
    It's the best program EVER!

Well you could keep it here to discuss what the characters of the show are getting up to and which of them got what jobs after big brother.

Renaming it to reality tv would also be a good idea but what reality shows are coming up to keep the forum open.

    You got

    Fame acadamy
    Your a star
that new show westlife are doing
    Im a Celebrity
    Celebrity Big Brother

    and so on....

Hmm, yes, Reality TV might be an option. It'll be up to Cloud and fellow admins to decide though.

It is an option, however it may lead to more requests for other sub forums for different TV genres, which I wouldn't like to see tbh, so I would be against the idea.

I'd hate to see the Television forum going the way of the old Sports forum, it's completely dead in there now. :(

Well, instead of making a fourm called 'Reality TV', you could possibly change the name of this fourm for when a certain Reality TV program would be.

e.g. Say, the next major reality Tv program will be X-The real challenge(Making this up) What could be done is this thread would be merged with television until BB6(possible a few weeks before it) and then, when X-TRC would start, they would start a fourm on this prog, with it being merged with television when the series finishes until a possible sequel to this program is on air, and another fourm would be started with it!

If there where to be a clash, you could tempoarily put two boards up, and when one series finshes before the other, the latter would be merged with TV.

This could be done with other programs like I'm a celeb, Fame Academy etc. (I wouldn't honestly do it with the likes of Pop Idol or Survivor, as these programs don't usually have 24 hour live feeds anywhere on net or tV!)

I think this is an honest and goos solution for this whole Reality TV phenomonon.

GAH, lose the sig! Way too big.

On topic, keeping this out of television is a good idea. I dont see a need for it to be permanent though. None of the other reality tv programs generate as much interet really, and are generally confined to one thread anyway.
