    Is there a comic festival happening in Dublin soon?A mate of mine claims to have seen a poster advertising such an event in Forbidden Planet.Is he merely messing about or is there such a thing happening?Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    not really, a festival as such, but yeah theres a comic convention in dublin on august 14th in wynns hotel(?) abbey street, think it opens at about 10 am. i went to it 2 years ago, was cool just kinda dissapointingly small

    well you can't expect a comicon type event in ireland. comic sales in this country are tiny, and fans over here are almost entirely closet fans.

    oh well... anyway, yes the event is advertised in the window of forbidden planet. saw it there a few days ago.
