Quality Film Developing? (pref in Dublin)

    Hello there,
I recently got married, and have umpteen rolls of film, full of much anticipated photos of the day and night. However, I'm looking to see if anyone has any recommendations for a place that will develop the film and print me a contact sheet, to examine the myriad shots and see what might be worth getting blown up. I don't really trust Spectra or their ilk with these.

Any advice you have would be very welcome.

    Thanks

    S

i reccomend bringing them to MCG digital or some such place where the staff know what they are talking about, get them all developed and scanned to CD. Then you can see in detail what every shot looks like, then get some good quality prints done of the best shots.

Don't send them to Belmont/Spectra. I use them daily as part of my work and they scratch, lose, destroy more films than seems possible

You could try Learys in Ranalagh. They've been around for years... ...and will develop b&w and colour, 35mm and medium format.

I got films developed in gunns on wexford street recently and was very happy with the results, they were also cheaper than spectra on grafton street. I'm not sure if they do a contact sheet but I think they do. Your best bet is to give them a ring and enquire.

Gunne's are great and provide a wonderful service. Their prints are great quality and I'm pretty sure they do contact sheets for negs, but I don't think they deal with slides.

Another professional option would be to go to Primary Colours on/near the SCR.

Wouldn't reccommend MCG Digital, i got prints for college and they were very badly done. John Gunnes definately the best place in Dublin, and they will print a contact sheet

Do Gunnes do medium format developing?
