Anyone here overclocked their radeon 9800 pro to xt and playing doom 3?

    I am having problems with Doom 3 on my 9800 pro -> xt.

    Artifacts and crashes.

    Anyone else suffering?

    Cheers man. Wil ltry it when im at home. But did u softmod to xt or just overclock?

    Just overclocked it.. could prob get higher mem if i did but couldnt be arsed

    Thats the key I think. I softmodded mine. Which is why the problems may be occuring. Anybody else in the same boat?

    Oh it is totally stable. Just not with Doom 3. Far Cry is perfect. I will have to think of something anyway...

    Try dropping your mem clock down a little and try? If not try the Core?

    Might only take a small change..........

    I had to drop my core back from 475 to 450 to get rid of the sparkles. Had to do something similar with Far Cry as well. I assume you read the piece from Carmack stating that Doom3 would leverage parts of your card that have no been used before. I am guessing Far Cry with some of the adanced **** it has going on does the same. Only a guess though.

    When I say stable, I mean no problems.. You have a problem, so not stable?

    Got it working.

    All I did was install the latest omega drivers! Works perfectly now.
