Sky Digibox Won't power on

    hi, looking for help here;

    have had a sky sub for 5 odd years, Digibox is a Grundig model, 520 I think. Yesterday it just stopped working. Power Off light (red) was lit, tried to switch it on, but no joy. So now it's alternating between the Red light, and No light at all. I've tried it in various sockets, just in case the problem isn't with the box, but that's not working. Have checked that the power lead is connected and all that. So can anyone tell me either, a) is the box screwed, or b) can it be repaired, and if so by whom?

    thanks

    Darrell

    I would say given its age and model,that your power supply is fried. I would not bother getting it repaired as the newer boxes are much much faster,and at 5 years old it has served you well.

    You can buy a new box on its own from www.satellite.ie or similar online shops, or you could cancel and try to resubscribe in another name and using a partners/brothers/sisters name and bank account to avail of the free box offer so long as you do not mind connecting the box to a line for 12 months.

    If you want to get it repaired try Kesh Electronics,in Fermanagh http://www.pacelink.co.uk/repairs.htm
