During the cricket coverage Channel 4 have to give horse racing some of its time on a Saturday so they open up FilmFour to non-subscribers on cable/satellite/freeview. So as a cricket fan (and a happy Englander!) I wrote to NTL regarding access to FilmFour to watch uninterupted coverage of the current test series.

    Heres my letter...
According to Channel 4 ppl with access to Film Four on NTL can watch uninterruppted coverage without having to subscribe to the channel.
This may be true in the UK but its not here, so any chance of giving us cricket fans the option?

    ...and thier reply.
Thank you for your email. Whilst we appreciate your feedback and comments on our service, ntl have no input or are responsible for the
content of programmes that are broadcasted on our network
    - except out own local community channel. Any complaints about specific content/
lack of content should be made directly to the individual channel.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on 1800 321 321 or once again e-mail us on customer.support@ntl.ie

Dont they understand what I wrote or do they just not want to know? If Channel 4/Film Four have made it possible to watch cricket then its up to NTL here to complete the chain by flicking a switch somewhere...or an I being unreasonable?

    Mike.

Sounds like you need to spell it out for them Mike...ie.

"Give us access to filmfour, even if it's scrambled, so we can avail of it when it's freeview".

Don't talk to me about ntl support...

Me : When will we get broadband in waterford

NTL Guy : We won't be doing it down there at all.

    Me : What ?

NTL Guy : We will only be doing it in Dublin, Waterford and Galway
