Azureus and NAT error

I've only ever managed to get good speeds with torrents from Eurogamer/Eurofiles (regular ~50KB/s speeds) while using Burst! Torrent. Places like suprnova etc always had sub 10KB/s.

I've switched over to Azureus after it getting mentioned quite a bit here.

As I'm sure you're aware, there are various smilies indicating the health of the transfer: gray, red, yellow, green

Mine is always on yellow while downloading: "You may have a NAT problem if your torrents stay on yellow status all the time"

I did a bit of googling and I found some pages saying I need to open up some ports, or port forwarding, or something - how exactly is this done?

    Any help accepted :)

You need to connect to your router - go into the services/port forwarding/NAT/whatever section, and set it to allow traffic on ports 6881 to 6889 through to whatever IP address your download machine is using. or if you're not using a router, set up your firewall software to do the same thing. Then go into Azureus and make sure the port settings match up.

Or you could RTFM on the Azureus site:

I've got a similiar problem, and while I understand what it is I have to do, I can't find the options to do so in my Eircom Cayman Model 3341 DSL USB. Anyone got any hints? I've tried Googling, but can't find anything useful, that or i'm missing something...

    Any ideas?
