    folks i just got a super offer on dvds, they are princo dvds 4 speed, but i am using datasafe and they are fine.

    but the ones i have been offered are 33% cheaper, is there much difference between the two types of dvd? thanks

    yeah, the big difference is that princo are ****e discs. Full stop. They are crap, they suck. They wont last long. They are the dutch gold of DVD's, cheap but terrible. Avoid if possible.

    Aye, Princo discs didn't seem all that great to me either. I stick with Ritek-dye discs, they're slightly more sometimes but the quality makes up for it - not a single coaster with those ones, and the discs I've burned have all lasted so far with no issues whatsoever and play on all the DVD players I've tried...
    The cheaper quality discs, even if the burn, probably won't last as long and will deteriorate more, so you'll end up having to copy/replace them along the line.
