    cheers

Mozilla has its own password manager.

(edit: beaten to it by irishgeo :p)

    It is what it's.

Yeah Firefox has a password manager built in.

I think Internet Explorer does as well (but you don't want to use that :) ). Check Internet Options - > Content Tab -> Autocomplete settings.

For a general purpose password manager, I've recently started using Keepass ( http://keepass.sourceforge.net/ ). Basically, it stores all your passwords in an encrypted database for which you have a master password (I use a very long passphrase).

    It's proper bo.

This is unfair you know! I'm the official Firefox pimp on Boards, you guys are way to quick:D. If you do take our advice eske then I also suggest you immediately change the theme (the default doesn't look nice) and get the extension called AdBlock upon downloading Firefox.

Thanks for the speedy replies. Considering the overwhelming vote for mozilla, I've taken your advice and downloaded a copy. And I have to admit there's a lot to like.
It's not quite what I was looking for re: password management. In that it doesn't seem to remember yahoo logins and it won't keep the password for this forum. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. I'll have to play around a bit to get used to it.
And I would miss the yahoo companion taskbar - I like mobile bookmarks.
But yeah I can see why you all like it.
Anyone know if the associated mail client thunderbird any good?

    Many thanks
    eske

for IE, if you will not like Mozzy(although I think you will love it!), AI Roboform - nice!

stand alone - passmate is nice!

although I'd advice you to print your passwords on the paper! more secure

Well that's to do with the cookie settings really

Have you used/found tabs yet? Ctrl+t or middle click on a link with your mouse or hold down Ctrl and click on a link to open it in a tab - it's a GOD send in places like Boards

I find it good for my ( limited ) e-mailing usage - it has spam filters that need "training".

As an aside you can get optimised Firefox builds here these are not releases so they could be unstable - I use them all the time and sometimes it's necessary to use a fresh profile ( you can save your bookmarks and prefs by copying pref.js and bookmarks.html ).
