I'm going to be spending about 5 days in Manchester soon, taking in a full weekend and was wondering if anyone would have recommendations for places to go and see, pubs and clubs, things to do, etc. while there.

    Appreciated,

    Bard

I'll give you a couple of clues as to where I'm going...

    1. It's not Liverpool.

    2. Starts with an "M"... ends with "anchester"

Ah f3ck it... I'll turn off the sarcasm... thanks for the suggestions and all but I'll be staying in Manchester for the duration... won't have the opportunity to travel.

Go 'Jillys Rock World' on Oxford Street while you're there, when I was in the UK it was a blast on a Friday night - 7pm till 7am or something daft like that, you come out and all the shops are open for a Saturday. Afflecks Palace and WestWorldRetail. If you're looking for a bit of class, head to King Street, they have shops like DKNY and Armani, to classy restaurants.

As for the rest of Manchester, just explore.

    Miaow.

Thanks Lucy- I'll check those out.

Will also be checking out this place - looks pretty cool.

    - and yeah- I intend to explore... I'm like that wink.gif ... a wanderer. ...and now I've 6 days to explore in.
