I tried on Monday night but I gave up with all the problems I had to deal with. Anyone else have problems?

    What problems did you have?

Unable to get through. They have you hanging on for an operator, (after you listen to their bull****) Then they tell you to call back when THEIR not busy!! & hang up on you  I called them 6 times from Ireland. Why can't they have an Irish 1850 or 1890 number? or have an online booking form?

And they lie by saying their 8p/minute 0870 number is 'National Rate' when it's nearly 3 times more than what BT now charges (3p/minute) and 16 times more than www.call18866.co.uk charges.

I am amazed that Setanta have not made subscribing to this channel easier for their Irish customers. Being that they are an Irish company, they should know that Celtic are second only to Man U in popularity.

    Hi irishdeej,

I signed up 2 weeks for the early bird package without a hitch, only problem I had was that they weren't able to DD Irish bank accounts  , had to go with debit on credit card, they need to get the cash in before the initial £2m payment to the SPL.

Seems Setanta have outsourced their call centre too, used to be run by Sky who you could access on 01 8340032 and they just added the fee to your monthly sub but thats gone now.

No suggestions other than to keep trying

So I have to pay by Credit Card? Well, they can go & jump. Thats another customer they have lost.
