Just a note. If anyone is in London, they should go see it. Saw it last night and its brilliant! The singing is fantastic filled with the most obscene lyrics I've ever seen in a show. Very funny and well worth seeing.

Gonna have to disagree with you. I saw it in Edinburgh (where admittedly it may have been in a different 'pre-west-end' incarnation) and found the fact that it was all a bit much.

The single gag - juxtaposition of high-culture opera with low-culture chatshow with cross dressing trailer trash types effing and blinding each other out of it - is good, but jesus, I dunno can you knock 2.5 hours out of it.

Sure - you wet yourself laughing when you hear the professional soprano types singing 'F*** off you f***ing c***' etc, but really - in terms of musical theatre, it's not exactly hummable, is it?

Mind you, that's me problem with opera in general, there ain't enough hummable stuff in it, much less whistlable.

Blood brothers, on the other hand, mind....
