How much do Sky charge for a house move installation?

About €150 to supply and install a new dish connected to your old box.

I was just on the phone to them for the very same reason.

I wanted them to install Sky+ and relocate my old box to the bedroom of my new house and they were going to charge €361 (€299 for Plus and €62 for install of old box)

But they have an offer where you can get Sky+ a new second box and free installation for €299 so I am going for that instead. Then I will have another spare digibox for my FTV card. I presume for this offer you have to be a first time subscriber so I will just get it done in my wife’s name.

Bloody hell! I thought it was about €60. €150 is way to expensive for installing a dish and a length of cable.

That is for a new dish though, as mine is on the chimney so it is staying there.

Yeah but as far as I know in the UK there is a service that if you move house you leave your dish and Sky will install a new one in your new house with the required cabling for a flat £40 fee.

I assume their reasoning is that the people moving into the old house will sign up for Sky as the dish is already there.

I live in the UK. When I moved house last I cancelled the old sub, took the box and the dish with me and got a completely new system insatlled at the new house under the £1 installation offer. Ok, I had to sub for another 12 months but I wanted to sub anyway.

A new dish and install? Hardly that bad Shane, the dish alone would run you €60. They did have a subsidised house move deal which was a lot less than €150 if memory serves.

It's the subsidised moving house deal that I am looking for (but not for me :D).

I rang them again to check some other details. This time I was told that it is just €62 for Moving house. Same deal, they leave the old dish behind you just bring the box with you and they put a new dish on your new house. I wish the people in Sky would get it right first time.

Sky people rarely get it right either on the phones or the sales side. €62 aint so bad

All the details where inside the back cover of last months Sky magazine - I don't have a copy to hand (in work), if no one else has posted the details by this evening I'll look it up when I get home.
