DIT have given me permission to use the gounds in grangegorman (basically dublin city centre is a 10 min walk) for a shoot at any time as long as we give a little notice!
We have no problem hosting it there and it's not a bad place to hold a comp!

Any suggestions or problem with a comp there?
i know it means a travel for the non dublin colleges early in the year, also know as chaos, but its either start of year or not at all... and we are able to get enough butts to cover an outdoor event.

I'll go, Emmanuel is in australia, but I'll see if I can pull Daniel out of storage and bring him with me... (if its in September, as I wont be back from Germany till then)

I'll consider it. Need to wake up my archery muscles etc.

I'm gonna drop down to lower poundage limbs.

Can someone remind me of the disadvantages of using limbs that are too big? As in I use 66" and using 68/70 instead. I'm guessing less accurate but can't remember the specifics.

the main issue is cast, ie how quickly the limbs return to their original position. The longer the limbs the slower they close. the optimum length is said to be 66" as 64" is considered TOO fast!!!

It sucks, I draw around 31", I got away(just about) with a 68" bow back in 2000/2001, but 66" would be a wee bit too unforgiving me thinks :P
