best race sim for PC?

ive got a few of race sims ovet the years...e.g. GP3...GP4 and still have the old favorite GP legends.....so im on the lookout at moment for a good racing sim and i often see posts on here refering to F1 challenge or is it F1 Pro.....are these good?...or if anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated.

get your teeth into these:

F1 challenge + mods
F1 2002 + mods
1965 mod for GPL (assuming you dont have this already)
Live for speed
Nascar 2003 + mods
Netkar (free!)
GTR, get the demo for now and the full game when released!

google for any of these babies and you get what you need.

also bear in mind the graphic updates for GPL & the 200 or so extra tracks:

they should keep u occupied and take up about 35 gigs when you get all the mods & updates!

See my thread on F1 Challenge top ranked mods.
In my opinion the best are exactly what souper has suggested and for F1 Challenge make sure you get Sports Car Challenge,Porsche Supercup,PrototypeC and ETCC.
The others in the ranked list are great but to me these four are simply brilliant.

I think its worth mentioning the 120+ third party tracks availabe for F1C and its mods,its very quickly catching up on GPL in this respect:)
