Broadband problem

A friend recently fixed my broadband after I had foolishly used it without a firewall.

However since then I cannot download anything.
If I try open up a little video clip or whatever it just says 'connecting to media' and then gives me an error message. Also I cannot connect to Kazaa.
    Anyone have a solution???

    Some friend!

What does he have to say, and what did he do to "fix" the problem?

(Presumably he installed some software firewall, but you'd have to tell us which one it was to get any help).

Also, what DSL modem do you have?
