Hacking panasonic widescreen modes?

Tried googling this but to no avail. Have a panasonic widescreen TV. I'd like more control over my widescreen settings. For example when playing a DVD, 14:9 and Just modes aren't available which is a balls when playing DVDs with 4:3 content. Anyone know if there are widescreen mode hacks the same way as you have…
