Yep, NWN is pretty good online. There were games held on the games2 server on weekly basis, but they kind of dies out.

Its a very good online game and some of the communities out there are amazing. There are two main game types, persistant worlds (PW) and ad-hoc games. The boards one was just a module on the net open for multiplayer. Many games are like this. The PW type is a world that is always open and on, with no specific goals (like the smaller modules). You will often find up to 30 online at the same time, roleplaying with each other - treating it like a real online pnp session. You also get DMs (or GMs - people who control the behind-the-scenes action) that set up quests for players and do all sorts of funky on-the-fly stuff. If you open up the multiplayer tab in NWN you will see the games sorted by type (eg roleplaying/action/PW action) etc.

If you want to join some servers you may need to download hak packs (collections of skins/textures/etc) from different places. Check the website of each game to make sure. The most common one (apart fropm having nwn/sou/hotu patched up to 1.62) is the CEP (community expansion pack) which can be downloaded from http://nwn.bioware.com/players/cep.html

    Enjoy!

    Died out?
I've been too busy playing NWN to come over here and play NWN.

I've been playing on a persistant world called Avlis.

May not be your cup of tea, it's a pure RP server, with no LOLing or :)ing allowed, but hey, I think it's super. It's in google.

Avlis is a nice PW for people looking to do some real RPG'ing, they have a nice setup... probably better now, I played on it a couple of months back... I may pop back over for a game some time soon :D .

Is there many people playing on the servers these days?
