I fix computers from home in my area, little bit of walking around money for me. :D Set up an isdn connection on a guys computer after agreeing payment amount etc. I couldn't complete it in one go as the guy had lost his driver cd. I came by the following day with the drivers and have everything running great. Showed wife as the guy wasn't there, and she said I had to deal with him. (he asked me to come by then). Four days later I was waiting on payment sill as we were on conflicting shifts etc. I went back today and everything was fúcked up worse than before. He claims he knew nothing about it, depsite his whole family being on the net for the last few days. Long story short I refused to do another 2 hours work for nothing, and he refused to pay me. Bugger. :dunno:

Was going to post this in business, but I was wondering did any of ye have this happen to you. Live and learn I suppose. :D My only comfort is it's totally FUBAR now. :p . (He was lucky I didn't have my boot disk with me. Format c:\*.* :ninja: ;) )

I used to do it but I was plagued by people coming back months later saying its the same problem and of course it was always something else and then they'd be whinging and moaning about paying again ..... so I stopped doing it, more hassle than it was worth.
But then again that was the glorious days of windows 3.1 and windows95, people are a bit more clued in now .... all the same I only ever fix the familys PC's now (VNC is yer only man for fixing small things)
