Seriously considering getting a male pet rat.
Have done a good bit of research on this however, the only problem I forsee is when I'm away for the weekend / hols etc.
I think it would be hard getting friend / family to look after it.
Just wondering - anyone have a pet rat any tips?
Also I understand that pet rats, although independent, require constant attention and care...what is the longest period of time you can leave them unattended for???#

We keep and breed dumbo rats. Mine are only fed every other day. You safely leave a rat for 2 to 4 days provided you leave enough food and water.

One rat is not an option as they are social animals and they best live in pairs or small groups. If you want anymore info please pm me.
