    Im getting odd noises out of my segate baracuda SATA after a couple a months and i was just wondering what was causing it? Can hd's get ESD like other computer components?

    They most certainly can ..... but what kills most drives is mishandling ..... backup your important data now, talk to the retailer - they most likely wont replace it until its completely stopped working but you never know.

    i dont got a dvdr and backuping on cds is soooo slow!
