audigy 2 zs and t7700 inspire speakers

    Right, audigy 2 zs finally bit the dirt

    Bios doesnt see it, windows doesnt see it, tried several pci slots, I noticed within seconds an area on it beside a capacitor(little round thingy) becomes burning hot to the touch, so I think that's whats ****ed, however creative wont RMA it without proof of purchase, and since I bought it from scan through a friend, who no lonfer is a friend(:rolleyes:) scan were the usuals **** and refused to give me an invoice, so creative wont RMA it.


    Using the speakers with my soundstorm on my nf7s v2, but I cant seem to get them to work right, nor get my mic to work at the same time

    Stuck the speakers on 5.1->7.1 upmix, but it doesnt seem to do ****, and soundstorm is playing side left as rear left and side right as rear right(tried moving the cables around) and not using the rear two, and the mic doesnt seem to be detected

    any ideas?

    Get back on to Creative support I RMA'd a DDTS-100 Decoder last week. The guy in support made me go back to the online sales guys but he did say that if they wouldn't help me to ring him back. Creative will RMA somthing if its older then 30 days other wise they want you to go back to the seller...

    Any change of getting you xfriend to give you the invoice details? (cannt be that bad?) How long have you had the card?

    I have the T7700's as well but I use the DDTS-100 instead of a sound card though.

    The 5.1->7.1 up mix does work if you set it the the Dolby Digital EX setting. You definatly have to have a 5.1 signal going in though...
