    ....looking for the above to plug into the stereo...anyone have any experiences with such a device? price, range, etc.
    just a cheap ass one, doesn't need a remote or display, intend to control playlist from laptop.

    $279.00 USD for the wireless one before delivery from america...

    eek, sorry about that, didn't think to look at the price.

    The software that slimp3 uses to stream the playlists is open-source/free and can be downloaded from sourceforge.net

    One possibility would be to pick up an old P1 PC for under €100 and stick in a 80211b wifi card and connect this to your stereo. With the slimp3 software running on the PC streaming the playlists to the stereo, you can use the browser interface of slimp3 to modify/add/remove playlists. Slimp3 even supports streaming multiple playlits at the same time (although the ability to do this depends on the performance of the hardware you are using)
