    Got a laptop without a video out so.........
    looking to usb2/pcmcia card to convert me vga out to tv....
    .....any ideas?

    see if you can pick up a second hand docking station for it?

    Also what kind of laptop comes without a vga out???

    i had 'pc' written where 'tv' now is in my post above, sorry about that. So it has the vga out.

    Its a beautiful Sony Vaio Pcg-V505EX, a fecking great machine.

    Basically just looking for some scan converter type thing....there's a few about on the net, but looking for something more local where shipping isint a pain in the ass.

    I seriously doubt that that would be good for anything other showing pictures up on a screen. Iv seen VGA to S-Video cables but never tried em out. There are a few USB TV out devices.

    build a circuit its very easy and wont cost more than a fiver i built 1 meself and my electronics skills are sh!te picture quality is better than tv out but ull get a headache tryin to surf the net r anything like that, ill give u the link if u want

    and got a proggy called tv eyes works great, peats has al u need, i built it onto s standard board ididnt bother getting a pcb, a m8 of mine simplified it even further into a wiring diagram, ill c if i can find it if u guys need help
