    Hi All,

I was just talking tonight with a mate about money matters and both
our spending habbits - we were both just discussing how much money we had spent
(and or wasted - depending what way you look at it) over the last fews years
    on socialising etc

We were making ref to straights mates we knew and how they had purchased their pads and seem to making head way in life..

We essentially concluded for us - that since we came out we were having a kind of revived adolesence and were effectively and were waisting money left, right and centre to feed our new gay childhood - to make up for our not so happy previous one...in some ways

We both wondered - did other LGBT people to the same.. is this consistent and if yes, at what stage do you changes this pattern - or do people?

With no upcoming commitments should as children (presumably) - you should be easily able to play catchup in the latter stages of your life.

Don't worry, enjoy your second 'gay childhood'.

Good to hear we are not the only ones..

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips how to lead the gay life with out spending so much...lol

God I want to know =)

We have both decided that when we see each other - quite frequent we are going to say in a clear tone - MONEY as a reminder that we are to watch what we are doing...

Now that I think of it - if someone said -no- jesus if i asked myself when I was buying something DO YOU NEED this? I would not not buy half the stuff... although i do like my gadgets...

Not exactly a gay-only thing is it?

I think the spending pattern is very related to the LGBT lifestyle - dont think (it is an assumption) that str8's go through the same .. my mates certainly dont....

yeah i noticed that too, before i came out, if i went out with mates i'd only bring 20 / 30 quid and that'd be that....

lately i've been spending a freakin fortune, drinks with umbrella's n the like :p ... then of course have to get clothes and 'products'. burns a major hole in my pocket
