Advice on BMW 318i

I have just bought a 93 BMW 318i and have several questions of anyone can help me out with it. The two problems/questions are

    1. The tape deck that is in it is a Goodmans brand and fairly crappy. As it is a pull out model I have photo'd the connections and wondered if it is standard to be able to slot any other player into the already provided connection or is a new job needed?

    2. I need a new motor (regulator??) for my electric windows but can't get one anywhere in Ireland short of BMW in Dublin getting a new one for 250€ plus the VAT. Has anyone an untapped source of parts or could recommend anywhere?
Or if any of ye that have one of these models has any advice for a BM newbie then that is appreciated as well. Thanks a lot.

Try http://www.eurocarparts.com/ or http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ for the motor.

Nice and cheap... STG£50 for a motor on eurocarparts. The regulator is about the same.

I can't make out what kind of connector is on the back of the radio. Any chance of zooming in a bit?

Thanks very much ChipZilla for the sites. A very big saving indeed, I am much obliged to you. I have added the enlarged view of the connection of the back of that player. Thanks again

Changed the radio myself on a 92 318is from the goodmans brand one.. Connectors were different but with a bit of wire cuting and alot of electrical tape i managed to hook up all speakers/ignition wires.

Wouldnt recommend it though if i was doing it again id pay the E30 to get somebody to do it.

Tell us a bit more about the car... mileage/colur/any other probs. They are amazing cars mine has nigh on 150k miles and hasnt given any probs. touch wood.

Thanks for that. I only got it on the 2nd of July so am still getting used to it. The rear wheel is very different from anything else I have driven before. It has 145k on the clock, white colour coded and is very quiet. It has loads of service documents and has obviously been reasonably looked after. So far (again touch wood!) it seems fine. There is startings of rust on the wheel arches and a couple of touched up places around the sills and the interior is a bit ripped but it is an 11 year old car.
I bought it as I just moved into Northern Ireland and felt that I needed a change of motor. After being screwed over by the excise duty on my last car (Hyundai Coupe 98 2.0l ,€3,050 in duty), I wasn't about to reimport it back to northern plates. Drives differently but I suppose that is to be expected.
