Have to arrange a night out with some mates and they want to go to play Lasertag (you know, run around and shoot people with "laser" guns?)

I thought there was a place out on North Strand but it seems to be shut!

    Anyone know any others?

    DeV.

There was one, and yes, it is shut. I went there for a birthday party yeeeeeears ago. It used to be in the Strand Bowl, near Cusack's pub on the North Strand Road... I work around the corner wink.gif

It's a pity because it was better than the ones that are left.

All you've left that I know of is the Q*Zar (or "Quazar") places in the Leisureplex centres in Coolock, Tallaght and Blanchardstown. Since going to Splatoon though, these laser-tag games will never be good enough wink.gif

There used to be a cool one up in Fairview that had somewhat plastic guns. One time two lads tried to shoot me, one of them grabbed my arms to to try and hold me while his friend tried to shoot me, so I smacked him across the head with the gun and they both ran off. smile.gif

There's one in UCI coolook, but it's years since I was last in one.

hmmm, I also went on the **** one time for a weekend in cork and ended up in Quasar there. I remember they let you in early to play so there were about 15 reds and 1 green guy, should of seen the chase when they spotted him.

Hobbs how old are you? That thing in Fairview sounds like me. It was the place at the back of the bowling alley right?

you can play it for free here in limerick ... just have to bring your own guns ... and we don't use lasers.

Ahh yes, the joys of a mis-spent youth in leisure centres......

The North strand one was Laserquest, and there was one of those (briefly) in Stilorgan.

Coolock, Blancherstown and Tallagh have Quazar. The original, and still best form of the game. (Quazar = QW, Lazerquest = Q2).

Dundrum bowl has the 4th ever Quazar arena in the world, which flooded some time in 1995. It was under the bowling alley, and not 50 feet from a nearby river. Very clever. I still have a gun from that place, salvaged seconds before it filled with water. I've never been in the arena in Blancherstown, but Tallagh and Coolock are quite good. Tallagh is more like DM3 in size and tactics, while Coolock is smaller, with more places to hide, a bit like DM4. There was also an arena in Bray, but I don't know if it's still open. The one in Galway is still there, as is the one in Cork and Belfast, I think.

Then along came Quake, and I just stopped going out.....

I remember we went on the **** for a weekend to cork.
we were in about 5 different pubs and then we ended up in the Quazar in the leisureplex.

It seemed like a good idea.

I was running away from this little kid b*stard who kept killing me, i ran out of the arena and into a utility press.

It was funny at the time... biggrin.gif

If you want a bigger map, we've a few up here in Nordy land. Fragging isn't just so easy though...

The Killary Adventure centre run a very good outdoors one down in Galway/Mayo (not exactly sure)

went there last year, and it was so much fun, beats the hell out of Quasar, I highly recommend it.

    Bit of a trek though..
