Anyone on eircom broadband having problems accessing hotmail and dsl-support

I'm on eircom broadband and the last few days i've had problems accessing dsl-support.eircom.net and hotmail.com (which includes MSN).

When I tracert hotmail.com I just get bounced around sprintlink for a while until I get "Request timed out".

Which begs the question, if dsl-support.eircom.net is down (the site where you get your bandwidth statistics), is it possible that the stats server is down and now would be a great time to run up a great big 50gb without them ever knowing you broke your cap? Just a thought.

    Trace complete.

Seems I can trace dsl-support anyway

No problem with my stats thanks, just noting that I couldn't access dsl-support. dslstats works fine. To the first reply, I get the same results when I tracert those 2 hosts, but try accessing either of them (in Internet explorer or telnetting to port 80), I just want to know if it's just me or not.

Both sites fine from eircom DSL, Terenure exchange. ICMP is blocked after sprintlink for hotmail.com, but it still works fine.

This is rather strange... Certain sites I can't seem to access... Also lucasade.com and ellisisland.org. I'm at a loss to explain, the DNS server isn't down since it can get the IP's of the hosts and if there's no problem with sprintlink I can't think of anything else.

I don't even have any sorta firewall installed.

*edit* Plugged back into 56k to test it and the sites that weren't working now work fine. I presume I can place this on either the router or eircom. Oh how this is starting to piss me off.

ICMP is also blocked to ellisisland.org (I don't get the "lets block ICMP, and pretend we're not here" brigade).. but I can telnet to port 80 / get web requests, fine.

lucasade.com gives me a full trace to servecentric.
Do you get a full tracer to there too?
Are you using a HTTP proxy?
Can you telnet to port 80 for there? If not what happens, connection timeout?
If you can get a full trace, are pings stable?
