I went to this. The FREE tickets from pigsback. I only stayed for 3 of James taylors songs.. not my thing.
anyway it was a pretty good day Sound was pretty crap. Kiearan Goss was actually pretty good, never heard of him. Bob Geldof was cool. Did not stay for Bryan Ferry as i had to get home for work today.

Only thing that spoilt it was one security retard!! On a power trip :mad: I was sitting down on my own, girl friend gone to toilet. My lips were dry so i took out some lip balm from my jeans pocket put some on then put it back in my pocket. The retard comes over with his mate and says take it back out! I look at him confused and say "what?" and he says "the white thing take it back out! We saw you with a white thing and you then SUSPICIOUSLY put it back in your pocket" So i "eh ok" and take out the lip balm but when he sees thats all it is he is not satisfied and gets all thick and says "yeah now take out the other thing!" And i just cant b elieve how retarded he is and call him an idiot to which he replies "do you want to make an issue of it?" so i take out my wallet and say this is the only other thing in my pocket, the white thing you saw was lip balm, piss off!" again he says "do you want to make an issue of it?" so i say "no thanks" as he walks off i mutter retard or soemthing. So then he comes back and says "what did you say? you want to make an issue of it?" so i say oh all i said was "Thanks" so he walks off.. i was so pissed off.. not only because of him but at my reaction. I was in shock so i was not composed.

I should have said i DID want to make an issue of it and told him to go get his supervisor or a Guard or something so i could show him up when i allow myself to be searched and all there is is LIP BALM But i reckon he would have simply jumped me with his mate and kicked me out saying i started it.

He was a scumbag. and looked like a drug dealer. Any of you who have seen me know thats the last thing you think i am. He was just on a power trip. And he was a retard.

Oh whats with the no chairs rule? At Bob Dylan the other week people had chairs (same people running concert!) But at this one i decided to bring some camping chairs and was told no chance.. so had to leave them at the gate, at leaste i got them back Pity as it sucks sitting on grass or concrete and i had 4 cans of Cider hidden away inside the packs

Read the back of your ticket before going on a rant, Lip Balm is not to be brought to the venue. If your lips are dry you may purchase some from the first aid tent for €40 however this cannot be used during an artists performance unless you have their prior written consent Being serious though security guys going over the top can ruin a good day out.
